WEATHER ADVISORY:

The annual march commemorating Martin Luther King, Jr. will still be held on Monday, January 21, 2013. Because the forecast is for severe cold, the outside portion of the march will be shortened to use the skywalk over to the DECC. The planning committee urges anyone who is marching to dress for the weather, including hats and scarves. For those who are not able to brave the cold, they can still take part in the rally by going directly to the DECC. The World Beat Drummers from Nettleton Elementary School will be playing welcoming music beginning at 10:15 and the broadcast of inaugural events will start at 10:45. The local program from the Twin Ports will start at approximately 11:45.

Gather at 9:45 AM at Washington Center (corner of 4th St. and Lake Ave.)
March starts at 10:00 AM Route is from Washington Center through downtown to DECC.
Viewing of televised presidential inauguration events in DECC Auditorium at 10:45 AM with local rally to follow.
