Mark the historic occasion of the inauguration of our nation's first African-American president. Feel free to drop in as you are able to watch some of the events on TV and share in some discussion about the meaning of this day. At 3:30 PM, Dr. Curtis Austin will wrap up the time by reflecting on the inaugural theme, "A New Birth of Freedom."

Dr. Curtis Austin serves as the Director of the Center for Black Studies at University of Southern Mississippi. Prior to that, he was the director for the Center for Oral History and Cultural Heritage. His most recent book is Up Against the Wall: Violence in the Making and Unmaking of the Black Panther Party.
